July

Well apparently we had a pretty boring June because I don't have any pictures! Oh well, on to July!

We started out with a fabulous 4th

Later in the month when Jared had his break from school we went up to Palmyra to see the Pagent

We went to a place called the Dinosaur BBQ. It was really good! If anyone goes to Rochester anytime soon I highly suggest it.

Getting comfy for the show

Bailey and Kelsey were having a lot of fun playing while we waited for the show to start.

Luckily the Atkins came too and we had friends to play with.

After Palmyra we drove home for 2 hrs while I repacked our bags and we headed off to Wisconsin.

Kelsey LOVES Grammy, she hopped in her lap the minute we arrived! And of course Bailey just watched TV.

We had a little work to do on this trip too. My sister Krissie designed a logo for the office my mom works for so we had to go in and put up the vinyl I cut out for the wall and the window.

The girls have had lots of fun playing with their cousins at Grandma's house.

Speaking of Projects... I also convinced Jared to help me repaint the powder room...

 Today we got to go to the Lake! The Jensen's were kind enough to let us play and play we did.

Kelsey couldn't get enough of the water. It was so nice and warm! Kelsey even loved walking in it by herself as much as we'd let her. Don't worry we only let her do it in the shallow end.

And this is our Beach baby. She was just fine with sitting on the shore playing in the sand. Time and again we tried to get her in the water and after a few minutes she'd ask to go right back to the sand.

 The trampoline was one of the best parts of the lake! The girls liked jumping on it and Jared and I liked jumping off of it.

 We also went to IKEA with my mom. While she and I were getting food for lunch Jared entertained the girls by taking pictures of them.

We've got a few more days here and hopefully more pictures to come! So far we've had a blast and can't wait for Grandpa Shelley and Uncle Ean to come home from Spain tomorrow!!!

Fun in the family

During this past winter/spring Jared was in an Inter-Faith league for Basketball and they won the championship!

 As you can tell the girls were ecstatic!

Bailey also had a dance recital. Unfortunately she's a little too much like me and is becoming VERY shy. So she hid behind the piano almost the entire time.

The last few months

The last few months have been so busy and fast! I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted. I'm going to try and attempt to bring you all up to date...

In February we had a lot of fun. The girls helped me cut up crayons to make heart valentines, we played with daddy and we went for a week and a half to Wisconsin to help out while Grammy and Grampy Shelley went to Mexico to pick up Uncle Ean. Of course I didn't get any pictures of that! I really need to be better at taking pictures...

In March we drove to Texas and stopped in Nashville to see "Grandpa and Grandpa Turtis" , as Bailey calls them. We got breakfast and then met at a park outside their hotel to play and visit.

 Then we continued on our way and sadly again I hardly took any pictures. So Julie I need your copies! But we had lot's of fun. We went to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny, we went to an aquarium, of course we spent some time shopping while Jared went to work with Aaron. And we also went to a couple fun restaurants. These pictures are at a Mexican restaurant where Kelsy really liked the salsa. On our way out the girls wanted to go on the merry-go-round and you can tell what they thought of that!

Lastly in April we had Easter! I'm glad you all get to see us in our morning finest! We are currently in Utah for our May adventure and hopefully soon we'll get these pictures up!

Visiting the Davidson's

The girls and I got a chance to visit my sister and her family in Idaho this past weekend. We had lot's of fun and Bailey even renamed some of them. Michael is now "Dad", Aurora is "Purple Dress" (she used that one because she calls Rapunzel Purple Dress, and with Aurora's long hair she reminded Bailey of her.), and Ethan and Leif are "Boys"(They're usually hanging out together so it was usually worked out to just say boys.) The Davidson's also got two new dog's over the holiday season and at first Bailey was Okay with them if they weren't touching her, and Kelsey just hated them! But by the end Bailey was crawling on the floor acting like a dog with them, and Kelsey still hated them... we'll try to work on that. Saturday was our adventure day. We went up one of the canyons and went sledding.

Finally some Hot Chocolate(it was pretty warm that day so we didn't need it, but it was fun anyway)

Thanks for letting us come and crash for the weekend! We all wish we could have stayed longer it was really fun to have friends to play with. We also enjoyed getting to know you better.

Christmas in Utah

Just before school let out the girls and I set off in an adventure to Utah. It was a bit intimidating thinking of riding an airplane by myself with two children but we made it. I had lot's of help by some very kind passengers and let's not discount the the girls and their wonderful behavior! They basically just sat there and behaved themselves, it was wonderful! A few days later Jared joined us and we started on a busy adventure of visiting family and going to family parties.

Tyler and Reagan came to stay and we all went out to visit the sheep and goats next door.

Grandpa is a GREAT storyteller! Both girls love to sit on his lap and read with him.

Bailey received a doll sized bed but instead of putting dolls in it she and Kelsey like to climb in it.

She loves these babies...Bailey carries them around the house singing to them, playing with them, and reading to them.

Finally, some snow!

It was really fun to watch Bailey make snow angels. 

Kelsey wasn't feeling great this day but she was a good sport to go outside with us.

We're having lots of fun, even though Jared had to leave to go back to school and then the Dominican Republic. But we'll keep posting pictures of all our fun adventures.

Dance Recital

Just before we came out to Utah Bailey had a Dance Recital. It was so cute... you can tell not too many of the girls get it but it was sure fun to watch them try.

Of course leave it to me to not think to put her hair up!

Kelsey stayed with Riley almost the entire night! They look like they had fun together.
